The Library is offering lunch and entertainment programs to senior citizens in partnership with the Town of Southampton Senior Services Division.
“We are thrilled to be able to add these new programs for our community of senior citizens through this partnership with the town,” said Library Director Danielle Waskiewicz.
As part of these new offerings, the Library will hold a senior lunch program every Tuesday and Wednesday at 12:00pm. Seniors can enjoy each other’s company over a nutritious lunch provided by the Senior Services Division. Following lunch on Wednesdays, the Library will offer a senior games program at 1:15pm, with board games, cards, puzzles, cribbage and Mahjong on hand.
Lunch will also be served to those who attend the Library’s monthly “Lunch and Learn” series, presented by Stony Brook Southampton Hospital. The September “Lunch and Learn” event will take place on Friday, September 13, at 12:00pm, during which Dr. Charles Guida will speak about vaccines.
