Rose Pellicano began to focus on botanical painting in 1993 and since then her work has appeared in ASBA exhibitions at the Horticultural Society of New York, United States Botanic Garden, Washington D.C., the New York Botanic Garden , the Weisman Art Museum in Minneapolis , The Smithsonian in Washington, D.C. , The Royal Horticultural Society in London and many others throughout the United States.
Her work is in the permanent collection of The Hunt Institute for Botanical Documentation.
Rose is a member of the Brooklyn Botanic Garden Florilegium Society.
Her work has been published in national magazines and in the books Today’s Botanical Artists and Native Plants of the Mid Atlantic. More recently she worked on an ad campaign for the National Peanut Board and her illustrations for the ad were displayed in the NYC Subways and in national magazines. She served on the Board of the American Society of Botanical Artists and is a teacher of Botanical Painting at the Southampton Cultural Center and The New York Botanical Garden.
