Pat Yancovitz’ photography focuses on the unique pastoral scenes offered by the East End of Long Island. From farmscapes to boatyards, fishing docks and rusted equipment, Pat captures images of these industries that are vanishing from the East End.

She has recently started to use paint and mixed media on photographs and to collage photographs with painting. The combination of physical mixed media with digital possibilities has opened unlimited avenues for creativity.

Her newest series is a collection of encaustics, based on an ancient technique that utilizes wax to add a dimension to the images.  Encaustics allows the layering of photographs, paint, and other media.

Pat’s photographs have been exhibited in galleries in New York City, Long Island, New Jersey, and Connecticut areas for over a decade.  In 2019, she won the Cityscape category in the Julia Margaret Cameron International Competition. She has extensive experience jurying and curating photography exhibitions for the Professional Women Photographers group in New York City as well as other organizations.
