Kevin Sears, an amateur film photographer, is our May artist.  For his exhibit Kevin has selected 21 photographs depicting “The East End in Black and White”.  Kevin primarily uses 35mm rangefinder cameras as he appreciates the feel and aesthetics of the older technology.  Many people think that film photography is dead however many photographers are discovering the excitement of making analog photographs.  Kevin especially enjoys the textures, shapes, and shadows that breathe life into a black & white photograph.
