Kaylin Burger, a 21-year-old artist from Sea Cliff, New York, has been honing her skills in
acrylic painting for the past several years. She is currently earning her B.A. in Multimedia Arts
at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles.
Spending most of her Summers in Westhampton Beach and Remsenburg, Kaylin takes much
inspiration from the sights around her. The beach, in particular, is a place where Kaylin feels
most at peace, and her highest goal as an artist is to convey that same sense of calm to the
viewer. Primarily water and botanicals, Kaylin photographs and synthesizes her own reference
images to refer to when painting. Such locations displayed in her work include the Montauk
Lighthouse, Swordfish Beach Club, and the Moriches Bay.
