Artist’s statement
I have been drawing and painting as far back as I can remember. Art has always been my fond interest and my joy. My personal expression through various media has opened new avenues for me to explore.
Considering myself a traditional artist, I like to create art in different styles. Abstract, Contemporary and Modern art a part in my studies and creations. Therefore, experimenting with combinations in my work and using textures allow me to construct interesting compositions. My past knowledge of art technic, media, as well as photography have proven most helpful in artistic challenges.
I am a professional artist and art educator. My favorite medium is watercolor. I begin my day with small watercolor sketch. This helps me to think of what other media to incorporate into the project.
Part of my life is to be helping my husband on our farm in Manorville, L.I., N.Y
My love of the beauty of outdoors is obvious in my paintings.
I participate in art exhibits as often as possible. In the last five years, I have joined 50 group shows, including 1 international; 17 solo exhibitions and 1 solo show at Kazan city, Russia. My photography was displayed at the Art Expo, N.Y. 2017. In the same period, I have earned “Best in Show”, 2 First and 1 Second place an Awards in Watercolor. My Third Place was in graphic arts.
