Librarian-Directed Visits
Youth Services (Idea Place, Tween, and Teen) has a staff of librarians available to lead class visits in the library. For preschoolers, we typically provide a story and craft program that is followed by a brief library tour. For older students, we can offer book talks, give library tours, or provide presentations on the Internet and our extensive Virtual Reference Collection (VRC). We will also work with educators to create “customized” visit plans.
School Visits
It would be our pleasure to visit your class. We love being invited into the classroom and can make presentations from 15 minutes to 1 hour in length. We can prepare a book talk, handouts, or share a few stories. Just ask!
