To the best of our knowledge, the museums listed on the next page are all open and accepting the library’s membership. However, many have limited hours, are spacing out admissions with timed appointments, or have other conditions for entry. The museums are doing their best to keep updated information on their website, but if you are unsure, please call the museum to make sure that you follow their requirements so that you can have an enjoyable visit.
Please observe the following policies regarding our Museum Pass program. Click “ACCEPT” below to acknowledge that you have read these policies and agree to abide by them. If you have any questions, please call the Reference Desk at 631-288-3335 x4.
- The Museum Pass Program is for Westhampton Free Library ADULT card holders ONLY. Your library card must be in good standing to reserve and check out museum passes.
- Each pass admits a different number of guests and comes with different associated benefits. Please consult individual passes for more information regarding the specifics for that pass.
- Please be prepared to show your library card along with the pass to gain admission to the museum.
- Families can only have one pass checked out at a time.
- Each pass may be checked out only once per month per family.
- Families can reserve a total of four passes each month.
For printable passes (printer icon next to museum name):
- Printed passes are good for a single day. When making your reservation, choose the day on which you will be visiting the museum. That date will be printed on the pass, and is the only date on which the pass is valid.
- If assistance is needed with printing, please visit the Reference Desk.
For physical passes:
- The library card used to reserve a museum pass is the card needed at the time of checkout.
- The lending period for all passes, with the exception of the American Natural History Museum, is three days. The American Natural History Museum vouchers are actual tickets and you may request up to four per household.
- Please make your reservation for the day on which you will pick up the passes (usually the day before you intend to visit the museum). For example, if you are planning to visit the museum on Tuesday, please reserve the pass for Monday. It will then be due back on Wednesday.
- Passes can be picked up at the Reference Desk and be checked out, with the card used to make the reservation, at the Circulation Desk. Passes should always be returned to the Circulation Desk to be checked back in. If the Library is closed passes can be returned via the book drop.
- There is a $20 fee per day for passes returned late.
- If a pass is lost it is the responsibility of the patron to cover any replacement costs.
