Our 2019 Battle of the Books team, the “Fire Breathing Ducks,” won two non-scoring awards during the Battle of the Books competition on Saturday, August 10. We won the Creative Uniform award, as selected by our peers, and the Sportsmanship award, as decided by the judges.

Congratulations to our team members: Alec Kelly, Sophia Biondi, Devon Mensch, Jacob Permakoff, and Connor Morrison. We would also like to congratulate Neima Bronstein and Liam Parsons, two of our dedicated team members who were unable to compete with us on the day of Battle. Thank you all for your hard work this summer! We would also like to say a special thank you to our team members’ parents for driving them to our many meetings and for supporting our team on Battle day.
