On Saturday, July 20 the Idea Place celebrated the 50th anniversary of the Apollo 11 moon landing. Families watched the Apollo 11 documentary with original footage from the Apollo 11 launch, flight, and lunar landing and built their own lunar space stations. Also keeping with the Summer Reading Club theme of A Universe of Stories, we used marshmallows and toothpicks to make constellations for our Star Constellations program.
