The Westhampton Free Library is pleased to announce that it is one of several Suffolk County libraries to be awarded American Star designations from the Library Journal, one of the oldest and most-respected publications covering the library field.
This is the ninth year that the Westhampton Free Library has received this prestigious distinction and the fifth year that it was honored with a five-star status. The Library Journal’s star ratings are based on the Library’s annual patron visits, circulation, program attendance and public internet computer use. The data is compiled annually by public libraries, reported to the state library agencies and compiled nationally by the Institute of Museum and Library Services.
“We are thrilled to have received this designation,” said Library Director Danielle Waskiewicz. “It is a testament to the Library’s dedication to its patrons and community.”
