Teenagers are invited to participate in a new Post-it note kindness challenge at the Westhampton Free Library.

As part of the take a note, leave a note challenge, teens are encouraged to complete kindness tasks that are written on Post-it notes in the teen department. Once the task is completed, teens can then leave another kindness task for their peers to complete by writing it on a Post-in notes and placing it on the teen department’s Random Acts of Kindness bulletin board.

So far, kindness tasks include holding the door open for someone, giving a compliment, letting someone go in front of you in line and writing a letter to a soldier.

The initiative works in conjunction with the teen department’s kindness bingo program in which teens can earn community service hours by completing acts of kindness listed on Kindness Bingo boards provided by the teen department.
