The Library is in the process of finalizing plans for a proposed interior expansion of the Westhampton Free Library, based on the availability of additional development rights obtained by the Library through Pine Barrens Credit Program. During a series of design charrettes, the consultant team of H2M architects + engineers has been leading interested stakeholders through an on-site design process to gather input and inspiration. With the combination of the consultant’s expertise and the community stakeholders’ knowledge, the design framework and direction for the proposed expansion will be established.
Ann Skovek bequeathed funds to the Library in her will. Our board subsequently directed these funds be used for this project, enabling the project to proceed without needing to pursue a bond referendum.
