Divergent by Veronica Roth

After main character Beatrice Prior takes an aptitude test to see which faction she will be placed in for the rest of her live, she resulted in three different factions. Factions included Abnegation, Amity, Candor, Dauntless, and Erudite. Since Beatrice appeared for the factions of Abnegation, Dauntless and Erudite, she is considered Divergent but chooses Dauntless to protect her distinctiveness. After a couple of days in the new faction, she meets a gentleman named Four. He soon reveals the news that leader Jeanine Matthews and her faction of Erudite want to wipe out Abnegation with the help of Dauntless by injecting all Dauntless with a unique serum that allows them to control their minds effortlessly. Beatrice discovers the serum did not work properly on her therefore making it harder to hide the fact that she is divergent before she gets killed.

My thoughts on this book are endless. I absolutely loved every aspect of the novel, especially the end. I would highly recommend this book to anyone and everyone because it includes all types of genres, whether fiction, drama, or romance. I will definitely continue reading  the rest of the Divergent series to follow Tris’ action-packed life.
