Rhythm Room Bucket Boot Camp with Rick Morin

This past Saturday, Mr. Rick Morin taught and entertained children and tweens with rhythm, movement, and drumming. Participants learned proper drumstick technique and basic rhythms while drumming on 5 gallon buckets. Check out the pictures below!

Summer Reading Club 2017 Wrap Up

Keva Tower

The other day, one of our young library patrons built this awesome Keva tower! Even after I took the picture, he continued to build and reached up to our ceiling lights! We have a Keva table with Keva planks in our Tween Scene, come in a try them out for yourself! What can you build?!

African Dance for Tweens

The Tween Scene at Westhampton Free Library hosted an African Dance program for tweens (ages 9-12) on Friday, July 21.  During this interactive and  fun program, Khadijah Abdus Samal of Rhythm and Culture Dance, taught Tweens about West African Dance.  Sign-up for the next class on Friday, July 28 at 5:00pm.
